MOBILE APP USAGE TERMS

By downloading or using our mobile app, these terms will automatically apply to you. You must therefore read carefully before using the app. We are offering you the app to use for your own personal use and as a reseller. The download of the application is free, but you should be aware that you are not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, you are not permitted to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it belong to Innovius Limited.

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally, identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, postal address, meter number and other information.

We employ the use of cookies. By using www.lumia.com.ng website you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with Lumia’s privacy policy. Most of the modern day interactive web sites use cookies to enable us to retrieve user details for each visit. Cookies are used in some areas of our site to enable the functionality of this area and ease of use for those people visiting. Some of our affiliate / advertising partners may also use cookies.

Unless otherwise stated, Lumia and/or its licensor’s own the intellectual property rights for all material on Lumia all intellectual property rights are reserved. You may view and/or print pages from www.lumia.com.ng for your own personal use subject to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.

SALES OF PREPAID METER UNITS

Lumia offers the User the option to purchase electricity on our web and mobile application platform, for only distribution companies that are in partnership with Lumia and have been listed on our platforms. Our services will be open to both prepaid and postpaid meter users and upgrades can be done to accommodate certain types of meters at the sole discretion of Lumia. Vending points will also be listed on our website for easy access of electricity units. Designated points will be added or reduced at the sole discretion of Lumia without prior notice to the User.

All payment and purchase of electricity made on our app or via the website is to be made in Nigerian naira as in accordance with the policies of the Central bank of Nigeria. Users must be aware that all purchases can be subject to any credit limitations or payment imposed by the User’s bank.

Lumia will at all times do its very best to see that our users receive their purchased electricity units immediately, but this can also be subject unavoidable service interruption, error and network down time from the electricity distribution company. In such circumstance Lumia will not bare any liability for such service interruption.

CHARGES

By accepting our terms and conditions you hereby acknowledge, and accept that you will comply with our convenience fee of ₦80 naira per transaction in purchase of electricity units. Other services on our platforms are free, unless due to an upgrade on our services. In this case Lumia reserves the right to change its fees or make new amendments to existing policies without any prior notice.

Other charges imposed by the electricity distribution company such as VAT or an increase in Tariff are the sole responsibility of the Nigerian government through the Nigerian electricity regulation commission.

Lumia shall in no way be responsible for charges on customers debit/credit card made outside our platform.

We recommend contacting us promptly for assistance if you experience any such issue.

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by www.lumia.com.ng. Lumia has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Lumia shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
